LLME Applications 26/27 Now Open!

Local leaders of mathematics education (LLMEs) are the experienced teachers who lead Maths Hubs professional development at a local level. They are experts in maths teaching and professional development, bringing together a knowledge of their local context with an understanding of the national picture of maths teaching.

We are now accepting applications for 2026/2027. Click 'read more' for more information, and to apply. The application window closes on 23 April 2026.

LLME Spotlight - Claire Render

Local Leaders of Maths Education (LLME) in the spotlight! Claire Render, who teaches at NCEA Duke's Secondary School has been actively involved with the Great North Maths Hub since 2017. She has successfully completed both the PD Lead Programme and the Secondary Mastery Specialist pathway, demonstrating her commitment to developing high-quality maths teaching. Claire currently leads the Developing Fluency with Multiplicative Reasoning Work Group.

NCETM Annual Report 2024/25

NCETM have published their 2024/25 annual report and we are very proud that they have a feature on our own Claire Render.
