What is involved?
This programme will support maths leads in their continued implementation of the programme, embedding effective practice in Reception and in Key Stage 1, to This Work Group supports leaders in their continued implementation of the programme, further exploring the materials for Reception and KS1, as well as materials for Year 3 and looking at ways to support colleagues in these year groups to embed Mastering Number in their classes, ensuring all pupils have the best start in life.
The maths lead will attend three termly NCETM-led sessions and two hub-led sessions, as well as working collaboratively in an online community
Who can take part?
This community is open to all schools involved with Mastering Number at Reception and KS1 in 2025/26, who are also a part of a 2026/27 Teaching for Mastery Work Group or have formally expressed interest in engaging with one in the future.
It is also open to schools that participated in Mastering Number at Reception and KS1 in previous years, provided they have not yet engaged with this community.

What is the cost?
The Mastering Number – Embedding the Impact community is fully funded by the Maths Hubs Programme so is free to participating schools.
